| Summary, etc. | Se realizó un estudio en una granja porcina tecnificada para evaluar el tratamiento con un preparado comercial de esencias florales a base de Ornithogalum umbellatum, Helianthemum nummularium, Clematis vitalba, Prunus cerasifera, Impatiens glandulifera y Juglans regia. Los lechones fueron divididos en dos categorías; categoría “A‿ lechones que fueron tratados con esencias florales y categoría “B‿ lechones utilizados como grupo control, sin tratamiento. Para la variable ganancia de peso la categoría “A‿ presentó mejor rendimiento frente a la categoría “B‿, pero no se encontró diferencia estadística significativa entre las categorías (p-value = 0.1449). La conversión alimenticia tampoco presentó diferencia estadística significativa entre las categorías (p-value = 0.7). La mortalidad fue del 0% en ambas categorías por lo que no pudo ser evaluada estadísticamente. Desde el punto de vista económico, se estimo que la categoría “A‿ donde se aplicaron esencias florales fue más eficiente, comparado con la categoría “B‿ o control. Bajo las condiciones del presente estudio los resultados obtenidos nos indican que la adición de esencias florales en lechones al destete no presenta mejores índices productivos frente al grupo control. |
